Dr. Gemma Triola
Dr. Juan Bautista Blanco
Gemma graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona in 1999 and completed her D. Phil at IIQAB-CSIC in 2004 under the supervision of Prof. G. Fabriàs and A. Llebaria. She then joined the group of Prof. H. Waldmann at the Max Planck Institute of molecular Physiology in Dortmund for her postdoctoral studies. After a period as a Group Leader at the MPI Dortmund, she moved to IQAC-CSIC in Barcelona where she was awarded with a tenured scientist position.
Juan B. graduated in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2000. Then, he joined the lab of professor Mascareñas and completed his PhD in 2006. Following postdoctoral studies (2007-2011) at the Scripps Research Institute (San Diego) under supervision of professor Dawson, he was awarded with a Ramón y Cajal grant and started a research programme focused to synthetic protein chemistry at the IRB Barcelona. Since 2018 he is a tenured scientist at the IQAC – CSIC in Barcelona co-supervising the Chemical Biology group.
